Lithuanian pianist Monika Dars has performed around Europe, USA, South America and Canada as a soloist and chamber musician.
Monika is a laureate of national and international piano competitions. Among the recent awards are Joseph Darche Piano Prize in Brussels, Belgium, 2nd prize at Luigi Nono Chamber Music Competition in Rivoli, Italy with cellist Natania Hoffman. In 2018, in the context of BeNeLux 60th Anniversary, Monika performed for the Royal families at the Bozar Henry Le Boeuf Hall in Brussels. In 2019, together with Nicolas Dupont, Clement Holvoet and Kacper Nowak – Urban Piano Quartet- won a Supernova 2019 competition in Belgium. This led to a successful continuation- more than 30 concerts tour and a debut CD featuring piano quartets by J.Brahms and P.Vasks. Later that year, UPQ won Nordic Strings chamber music competition (Denmark) and got invited for a concert tour in China. Later in 2019 and 2020, Monika performed more than 150 solo and chamber music recitals in USA and Europe in a program in partnership with Lincoln Center of Performing Arts in NYC. In 2021 Monika gladly received Golden Parnassus award from Podkarpacka Fundacja Rozwoju Kultury in Poland. In 2023 she had a great pleasure to perform S.Rachmaninov`s 2nd Piano Concerto with Melomania Orchestra and G.Hollander and A.Piazzolla`s “The Seasons” with Stauffer Ensemble and P.Ziegler in the context of Stauffer Summer Music Festival. In September 2023, together with Urban Piano Quartet Monika is taking part in the final round of Schoenfeld String Competition in Harbin, China. Since September 2023 Monika started teaching chamber music at the Royal Conservatory in Mons ARTS2.
Over the years, Monika had great pleasure to perform W.A.Mozart, L.van Beethoven, F.Chopin, C.Saint-Saens and S.Rachmaninov piano concertos with National Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Lviv Chamber, Melomania Symphony, Lithuanian State Symphony, Kaunas Symphony, National M.K. Ciurlionis School of Arts Symphony and Chamber orchestras under direction of Igor Pylatiuk,Bogdan Oledzki, Gabriel Hollander, Modestas Pitrenas, Martynas Staskus.
Highly passionate about chamber music, Monika is often involved in cello-piano duo and piano quartet ensembles. In the context of various festivals, she has collaborated with Frans Helmerson, Justus Grimm, Philippe Grafin, Elisabeth Zeuthen Schneider, Tony Nys, David Guerrier among other musicians. Monika appeared at prestigious European festivals such as Encuentro de Santander (Spain); Harmos Festival (Portugal); Academie Internationale d`Ete de Nice (France);Thy Chamber Music Festival (Denmark); Rencontres Musicales Internationales d’Enghien, Midis-Minimes, Resonances (Belgium); Apeldoorn Festival, Akoesticum Talent Program (The Netherlands); Aurora Festival (Sweden); Bieszczady Bez Granic Piano Forum (Poland); National Students` Academy (M.Rostropovich foundation), Christopher`s Summer Festival (Lithuania).
The recordings of Monika have been broadcasted by National Radio and Television (Lithuania), TVP kultura (Poland), Musiq3, Klara, Notele (Belgium), BRAVA (The Netherlands) channels.
Monika started to play piano at the age of 8 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since then studied at the National M.K.Ciurlionis School of Arts as well as Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in the class of Veronika Vitaite, Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium) under Daniel Blumenthal and Hans Ryckelynck, Hannover Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien (Germany) under Ewa Kupiec and Hochschule der Künste Bern (Switzerland). Important artistic inspirations Monika received at the masterclasses with E.Bozhanov, A.R.El Bacha, M.Beroff, D.Pascal, M.Gulyas, V.Samoshko, R.Plano, M.B.Pommier, M.Baudet, M.Raekallio, A.Jasinski among others.

Monika Dars (Darzinkeviciute) est une pianiste lituanienne résidant en Belgique et en Suisse. Elle donne de nombreux concerts à travers l’Europe en tant que soliste ou au sein d’ensembles.
Elle est lauréate de plusieurs concours de piano nationaux et internationaux. En 2017, elle a remporté le prix piano Joseph Darche en Belgique et le 2e prix du concours de musique de chambre Luigi Nono avec la violoncelliste Natania Hoffman en Italie. En 2018, dans le cadre du 60e anniversaire du Benelux, Monika a joué devant les familles royales dans la salle Bozar Henry Le Boeuf à Bruxelles.
Passionnée par la musique de chambre, Monika se produit souvent avec des ensembles de différentes formations, surtout avec des duo violoncelle-piano et des quatuors avec piano. Lors de divers festivals elle avait collaboré avec F.Helmerson, J.Grimm, P.Graffin, D.Blumenthal, E.Zeuthen Schneider, T.Nys, D.Guerrier entre autres musiciens.
Au fil des années, elle se produit dans les grandes villes européennes, seule ou en soliste avec diverses formations telles que les Lviv Chamber Orchestra, Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Kaunas Symphony Orchestra et le National M.K. Ciurlionis School of Arts Symphony et Chamber Orchestras, sous la direction d’I. Pylatiuk, M. Pitrenas ou encore M. Staskus. Monika a étudié au Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles auprès D.Blumenthal, Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien de Hanovre (Allemagne) dans la classe d`E.Kupiec et Hochschule der Künste Bern (Suisse). Monika Dars (Darzinkeviciute_ is een Litouwse pianiste die momenteel in België en Zwitserland verblijft. Ze geeft actief optredens rond Europa als soliste en kamermusicus.
Monika is een laureaat van nationale en internationale pianocompetities. Recent won ze onder andere de Joseph Darche Piano Prize in Brussel, België en, samen met cellist Natania Hoffmann, de tweede plaats van de kamermuziekcompetitie van Luigi Nono in Rivoli, Italië. In 2018 trad Monika, in het kader van de 60e verjaardag van de Benelux, op voor de Koninklijke families in de Grote Zaal 'Henry Le Boeuf' van Bozar in Brussel.
Erg gepassioneerd door kamermuziek, is Monika vaak betrokken in ensembles van duo cello-piano en pianokwartet. In het kader van verschillende festivals, heeft ze onder andere met F.Helmerson, J.Grimm, P.Graffin, D.Blumenthal, E.Zeuthen Schneider, T.Nys, D.Guerrier samengewerkt.
In de loop der jaren heeft Monika ook het grote genoegen gehad om solo op te treden met Lviv Kamer, Litouws Symphonie, Kaunas Kamer, Ciurlionis Symphonie en Kamer orkesten. Pianistė Monika Dars (Daržinkevičiūtė) - tarptautinių konkursų laureatė, su koncertais apkeliavusi daugelį Europos šalių, grojusi JAV, Pietų Amerikoje ir Kanadoje. Ji aktyviai koncertuoja kaip solistė bei kamerinių ansamblių narė. Su vienu sėkmingiausių savo projektų- Urban Piano Quartet- pastaraisiais metais laimėjo Supernova (Belgija) ir Nordic Strings (Danija) kamerinės muzikos konkursus, taip pat išleidžia debiutinį albumą su J.Brahms ir P.Vasks fortepijoniniais kvartetais, nusimato CD pristatomasis koncertinis turas Kinijoje ir Europoje.
Belgijoje, kur pianistė šiuo metu reziduoja, Monika yra grojusi Belgijos, Nyderlandų ir Liuksemburgo karališkosioms šeimoms BeNeLux 60-osioms metinėms paminėti.
Monika yra pasirodžiusi solo su Lviv kameriniu, Lietuvos Nacionaliniu Simfoniniu, Kauno Miesto Simfoniniu, Nacionalinės M.K.Čiurlionio Menų Mokyklos Simfoniniu orkestrais; grojusi kamerinę muziką drauge su F.Helmerson, J.Grimm, P.Graffin, E.Schneider, D.Guerrier tarp kitų muzikantų; koncertavusi prestižiniuose festivaliuose Europoje; kamerinės muzikos programos, bendradarbiaujančios su Linkolno Centru New Yorke, kontekste 2019 metais sugrojo daugiau nei 150 kamerinės ir solo muzikos rečitalių. Monikos įrašai skambėjo Musiq3, Klara, RTBF, Telenole (Belgija), BRAVA (Olandija), LRT (Lietuva) kanaluose.
Monika studijavo Nac.M.K.Čiurlionio menu mokykloje bei Lietuvos Muzikos ir Teatro Akademijoje (prof. V.Vitaitės klasėje), Briuselio Karališkojoje Akademijoje pas prof.D.Blumenthal (Belgija), Hanoverio Aukštojoje Muzikos, Teatro ir Medijos Akademijoje pas prof.E.Kupiec (Vokietija) ir Berno Muzikos Akademijoje pas T.Herbut (Šveicarija). Taip pat, meistriškumo sėmėsi iš M.Beroff, E.Bozhanov, V.Samoshko, A.R.El Bacha, M.Raekallio, R.Plano, A.Jasinski bei kitų muzikantų.
